Reading to elementary school children. Investing in our children is an investment in the future prosperity and safety of our communities. Keeping kids in school and guiding them in their future aspirations through education keeps kids off the streets and builds great safe communities. You can ruin a great community in 10 yrs if you don’t invest in children. A kids ability to read by the third grade will have the biggest impact in that kids future. Reading is fundamental to great safe communities
About myself and my Platform
I believe that Public Safety and Education are the foundation of prosperity.
I’m 66 yrs old, a retired Electronics Engineer with two co-patents.
I’m on my 9th year as a resident of Nevada’s Clark County
I believe the foundation of prosperity is a Bipartisan approach to Public Safety and Education. I’m running as a Republican but I have a history of working with both Republicans, Democrats, and Non Partisans to make our communities safer and increase our quality of life.
I lived in the Newport Beach/ Irvine area of Orange County, California for 38 years. Orange County is one of the best managed counties in our country and it’s success is founded on three principles that lead to a great economy and a great place to start a career, start a family or start a business. These principles are :
1) Supporting Law Enforcement,
2) Keeping kids in schools by focusing on getting kids to read proficiently at the 3rd grade by starting kids to read at pre-school. Informing parents the importance of getting kids to read early. Having good schools at all levels including Universities. Keeping kids in school, keeps kids off the streets which lowers crime and increases prosperity. … The foundation of Prosperity is, Public Safety and Education.
3) Having great D.A.s and Judges which keep repeat criminal offenders safely away from law abiding citizens and their families and businesses
I have put my experience of being part of safe community for 38 yrs by starting a Social Media based Digital Neighborhood Watch program (See the video link on homepage) which has removed over 50 encampments and over 50 RVs in my Nevada Senate District 21 (the seat I’m running for) and neighboring communities. Homelessness is the biggest problem in East Las Vegas and I have a track record of reducing the homeless footprint in my district.
My goals is to bring laws to Nevada which will support law enforcement, improve our education, channel homeless people to housing and diversion programs, and give the D.A.s and Judges more options to prosecute criminals and keep law abiding people safe and reduce homelessness .
With the Police Captain and Head of COP (Community Oriented Police) of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police( LVMPD) of my Area Command , North East. As you can see I’m engaged with Education and Law Enforcement.
